Description:
The Butterfly Lovers story tells of a young girl named Zhu, who disguised herself as a boy in order to study. She fell in love with a boy at her school called Liang.
When Liang came to ask for her hand, her father had already promised her to a wealthy merchant. Liang died of a broken heart and when Zhu jumped into his grave to be with him, she vanished.
From the grave came two butterflies, dancing together in harmony. Thus the legend of the Butterfly Lovers was born.
