The Ark

In Chinese legend, there was a great flood. The north, south, east and west poles which held the heavens aloft broke apart and brought the waters of heaven into a great deluge upon Earth. The Chinese Ark carried ‘eight mouths’, or eight people who escaped the flood.

This refined and outstanding piece of Oriental sculpture is hollow, much like the Ark of its namesake. Although designed as a vase, it dominates its surroundings with its imposing structure and rigid looks. Strength and solidarity accompany the Ark, for wherever you choose to make its landing.
