The Water Bearer

During the Spring and Autumn periods (722 - 81 BC), China recognised two major developments in Agriculture. These included the use of Cast Iron tools for farming and the harnessing of rivers and waterways for irrigation.

With their spectacular rice terraces, the Chinese farmers toiled to bring water to their crops. This example is the depiction of such a farmer, balancing water buckets on a pole. Hand crafted from wrought iron, it would make a wonderful addition to your place of business/home.
